Most of Havant Town Centre is a conservation area, which developed from a junction of ancient thoroughfares dating from Roman times, it then developed into a Market Town, holding royal charters. Markets are still held twice a week in the town, complementing a host of independent retailers, high street names, and a modern indoor shopping mall, plus a large supermarket and two retail parks
