Who are we?

Havant Business Group (HBG) was formed in response to the Local needs of all businesses in the Town Centre area.

The HBG objectives are to:

• Publicise and promote the many benefits of Havant Town Centre and the immediate vicinity to:

Shoppers

Visitors

Business people

• Promote the choice, friendliness and convenience of Havant Town Centre shopping

• Achieve more business for the local business community and its residents

• Play our part in protecting the quakes of the Town Centre area, whilst helping to improve and enhance the local environment

• Benefit the lifestyle of all residents through the enhancement of a thriving local community.

What we do

The HBG meet monthly and elect a Chair and Vice-Chair annually, as

well as a Chair for the Events Team. We welcome members drawn

from all segments of the Local business community, as well as other

local community representatives who act in an advisory capacity and

support us in many of our activity programmes.

Current activities we are involved in include:

•     Town Centre Marketing

•     Town Centre Events (including Christmas)

•     Membership campaigns

•     Liaison with Local Government

•     Liaison with the Police

•     Special Projects

The immediate vicinity of Havant Town Centre is undergoing

large-scale development and the future redevelopment of

Market Parade is also planned, which should also have a

positive effect for the Town Centre

A strong and active Business Group is vital, if we are to

have our say in how the Town Centre is developing,

and how the area is promoted to make it a thriving place to shop, visit and do business

Get Involved

The HBG needs you to be involved, if we are to have a sustainable

and successful future. We are having a membership recruitment

drive to increase membership to play our part to make Havant Town

Centre a vibrant and successful place.

We realize that business people are busy individuals, and therefore,

there are different levels of involvement you can make. Active

membership (attending meetings, supporting events, etc) will be

greatly appreciated, but a key level of support far the HBG is

financial support, via a small annual subscription of just [50 per

 annum, which will allow us to do more.

This annual subscription will enable the HBG to fund many

activities. Increased membership means a stronger voice, and

potential access to Havant Borough Council and other matched

funding.

By joining the HBG, you will help us to achieve our aims, but there

will be other direct benefits for your annual subscription fee.
